Jitsu for childrenThe minimum age at which we will take children is 10 years. Anyone under 18 is considered a junior in Jitsu.
Junior training follows that of the adults but reflects the physiological and behavioural differences between adults and juniors which precludes some techniques and requires others to be approached differently. Despite the differences, the mental and physical discipline still involved in the study of Jitsu and the one-on-one training help not only improving confidence, posture and fitness but also aids in the development of respect, personal responsibility and social interaction. Back to Quick linksHow do they start?Have a look at Where, When & Cost then bring them along to a session. You will need to be present at the first session to sign their application form. We recommend you stay and watch at least the first session and parents are welcome to watch any session. They will need to wear clothing that will not restrict their movements so something like a tracksuit or just loose trousers and a t-shirt would be fine. Beginners are always welcome at any session.
